Gradius

Konami's Gradius games are very fun and addicting side-scrolling arcade shooters. To find out all about Gradius, check out Gradius Wiki.

Because of how fun and challenging the games are, I've wanted to make my own that allows multiple players, and so I have. Below are my 2 Gradius remakes, each with a screenshot and download. GradiusSquadronV0.2 is the newest version, and though it's not complete yet, I have been slowly adding more to it. SpaceArcadeV2.2 is the first Gradius remake I made and is fully playable with several challenging levels and bosses, but it isn't as good as my newer one.

Gradius Squadron V0.2
This is the newer and refined Gradius remake I've created. Special features include:

- Up to 4 players on a single computer
- Fully customizable controls for each player
- Level creator/editor
- Free movement pathways for enemies
- Power ups (speedup, missile, double, laser, option, and shield)
- Ceiling and floor terrain
- Three difficulty levels
- Big Core Boss

The main system controls are as follows:

F1 - Info
Arrow Keys - Menu Movements
Enter - Select / Pause
Backspace - Deselect / Go Back
Escape - End Game

Space Arcade V2.2
Below is SpaceArcadeV2.2, the first Gradius remake I made. It is fully playable and includes severals challenging levels and bosses. Unfortunately, the controls don't make much sense. For player 1, you move with the arrow keys, fire with the F key, and power up with the D key. As for player 2 and player 3, they can only be used if you have a gamepad or joystick plugged in and the controls vary. I apologize for the messiness of the multiplayer in the game, but the good news is that Gradius Pc (above) has multiplayer support (up to 4 on a single computer) and fully customizable controls.
